Situated close to the pretty town of Santa Gertrudis in Ibiza, Las Cicadas is one of Ibiza’s top villa stays. A well-kept secret until now, this beautiful, serene ‘boutique villa’ attracts a host of high-profile names from the music and fashion world, including the globally acclaimed fashion designer Isabel Marant, Marcelo Burlon and DJ and producer Maceo Plex.
Spread over 10,000 square metres of land, with 6 spacious en-suite bedrooms, a beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi, two kitchens and a barn, the property was originally a 600-year-old farmhouse. Since then it has been sensitively renovated and now provides stunning villa accommodation for up to 12 people.
Las Cicadas is surrounded by mature lawned gardens which overlook the mountains. Shade is provided by ancient olive, fig and fruit trees – including apricots, oranges, lemons and avocados.
Las Cicadas produce their own olive oil and they even have their own farm shop on the land where many of the local chefs pop in to purchase produce. The interior inspiration influences give a nod to traditional Ibicencan meets vibrant new Mexican, with a splash of contemporary style. Furnishings at Las Cicadas are vintage finds, with one-off pieces scouted from markets, auctions and artisans from all over the world.
The jewel in Las Cicadas crown is a vast 70 square metre renovated barn which is used as an event space. You can definitely dance until dawn as there are no music restrictions (and it is situated well away from the neighbours!). The ultimate Ibiza wedding or party destination Las Cicadas team will organise your event for you down to the last detail. Guests don’t need to worry about catering. Las Cicadas partner with La Grande Bouffe, the island’s number one caterers (run by ex-Moro London chef James Knight) so that delicious food can be prepared on request.
Las Cicadas is available all year round and minimum stays are three nights. Prices are from €1000-€3000 per night according to season.
