Locanda in Tuscany
With breathtaking sweeping sunset 180-degree views over the Val D’Orcia close to the village of Castiglione d’Orcia, Locanda in Tuscany (pictured above) is a beautiful rural hideaway also offers privacy, comfort, and an authentic Tuscan experience for an unforgettable summer celebration. Tuscany is famous for it’s weddings and the Locanda in Tuscany team can create a bespoke menu for your special day and work with you to create the perfect event for your guests from a pool party with Djs and a cocktail bar to a quieter al fresco poolside dinner for just a handful of guests, under the stars.
The restaurant Taverna Di Mozart is the perfect setting for an intimate dinner, party or event and is set inside an old stable with an outdoor terrace, where you can sit under a vibrant bougainvillea trellis. The restaurant showcases the very best of traditional Tuscan cuisine. The dishes are influenced by traditional Tuscan gastronomy with ‘passion, quality and taste’.
Locanda in Tuscany is the perfect destination for a family and friends gathering this Easter. Days are warmer and longer and you can escape the usual Easter crowds as the Casa is ‘off the beaten track’ in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Designed to be a place where you’ll “feel the love” and return to it again and again, this farmhouse-turned-luxury-lodge sits atop a gentle rise in rural Tuscany’s pastoral Val d’Orcia. The resort’s collaborative “Amore Toscano” initiative has been created to enhance the region’s rich territorial heritage, promoting where possible food, wine and furniture that is produced locally by artisans.
Guests will be immersed in the flavours, colours and scents of the region, sleep surrounded by the craftsmanship of local textile makers, painters, and leatherworkers, and be nourished by the bounty of the area’s organic farmers, vintners and distillers.
Nine individual rooms are designed to be soothing and relaxing, some rooms offering garden patios, and others with views stretching across the pastoral valley. Each room or suite features locally handcrafted beds that are free of metals, and linens created by local artisans in linen or cotton. Furnishings are eclectic and easygoing, a mix of antique and vintage finds and simple, clean-lined wooden and upholstered pieces. Floors are made of well-aged stone, old beams soar overhead, and rooms and suites offer large en-suite bathrooms for additional comfort.
Locanda in Tuscany offers a return to life’s simple luxuries—the pleasure of a good meal, the indulgence of a poolside nap, the joy of a walk in the garden or a relaxing, deep exhale of a view. The lodge’s on-site restaurant embraces the slow food movement, relying on seasonal Tuscan products and local natural wines. Diners can select from tavern dining or alfresco eating under a pergola, with panoramic views of the countryside.
