11 June – 25 July 2026

Can Alberti 1740 Boutique Hotel, Can Alberti 1740 Boutique Hotel will present a new contemporary art exhibition this summer in collaboration with Barcelona-based gallery Rocio SantaCruz, bringing together a carefully curated selection of works by established and emerging artists.
Running from 11 June to 25 July, the exhibition will feature works by gallery artists Teresa Gancedo and Pepo Hernando, alongside a selection of photographs by Mallorcan artist Toni Amengual and recent pieces by French artists Lionel Sabatté and Jean Denant. The works will be displayed throughout the beautiful 19th- century townhouse hotel, creating a dialogue between contemporary art and the building’s historic interiors in the heart of Mahón.

Spanning a range of artistic mediums and perspectives, the exhibition offers an accessible and contemplative way to experience contemporary art, inviting guests and visitors to engage with the works in an intimate setting.
True to its ethos, Can Alberti integrates art into its historic architecture, creating an experience where each piece responds to the light, materials and atmosphere of the space. Rather than a traditional gallery display, the exhibition is conceived as a way of living with art within a refined and domestic environment.
The exhibition forms part of Menorca’s growing cultural profile. The recent designation of Talayotic Menorca as a UNESCO World Heritage Site has further strengthened the island’s cultural appeal, highlighting its more than 1,500 archaeological sites and encouraging new ways to explore its history.

This cultural momentum is reflected in an increasingly dynamic programme of events, including the RAW Photo Festival (7–10 May), dedicated to contemporary photography, and the seasonal reopening of Hauser & Wirth on Isla del Rey, which continues to position Menorca on the international art circuit.

Across the island, towns such as Alaior and Ciutadella are also expanding their summer cultural programmes, reinforcing Menorca’s reputation as a destination where art, heritage and Mediterranean lifestyle intersect.
Can Alberti offers a distinctive base from which to experience the island through a contemporary cultural lens, combining boutique accommodation with a thoughtfully curated arts programme.
